Putting the knowledge you’ve gained to use right away while getting paid to do so: that’s the dream for many university students. And one that can be fulfilled by undertaking a dual study program (“Duales Studium”) at ElringKlinger. Take the opportunity to combine the theoretical knowledge you gain at university with practical experience of work in a real-life business. By doing so, you’ll be guaranteed a successful and secure start to your career.

We’re convinced of the virtues of this training model and have had nothing but positive experiences of it so far. The fact that almost all of our students stick with us after they’ve completed their degrees is a testament to our attractiveness as an employer. 

The Baden-Württemberg “Dual Study” system has been a uniquely successful model of its kind for 40 years. And its combination of academic study with commercial placements has also won high acclaim internationally. Students on the scheme spend approximately three months in alternating study and work placements.

Thanks to ElringKlinger’s presence in 45 locations worldwide, they also get to spend some of their on-the-job placements in other countries, including China, the United States, India and Canada. For a limited period you’ll get first-hand experience of the culture of another country. That’s something that can’t be said about every company. Our dual study programs – an overview
 

DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) Degree in Business Studies, Bachelor of Arts (m/f/d)

The discipline of business studies involves analyzing the interaction between businesses and different goods and services. Along the way you’ll learn how to assist the company with commercial issues (majors in Accounting & Controlling or Digital Business Management).

DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) Degree in Information Management, Bachelor of Science (m/f/d)

As an information management specialist, you’ll be involved in developing IT systems for businesses. To do this, you’ll combine IT expertise with knowledge from the field of business studies.

DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering (m/f/d)

On this course you are trained as an engineer. As you learn how to develop technologies you’ll be using both your creative and manual skills. You’ll also be involved in the design, simulation and construction of products of a wide range of types and sizes. As well as production and plastics technologies, the degree program also focuses on tool systems engineering.

Mechanical Engineering Degree including Workplace Training (Reutlingen Model), Bachelor of Engineering (m/f/d)

The Reutlingen model is a degree course offered by Reutlingen University in cooperation with ElringKlinger and the school of vocational training. It includes on-the-job training as an Industrial Engineer and mechanical engineering studies at Reutlingen University.
The overall study program leads to two high-level qualifications: registration in a trade (as an industrial engineer) and a Bachelor of Engineering degree.

DHBW (Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University) Degree in Engineering Management, Bachelor of Engineering (m/f/d)

Engineering management is an interdisciplinary program of study that includes business, management, technology and law. As a qualified engineering management specialist (majoring in either mechanical engineering or electrical engineering), you’ll be an expert in both technology and business – a highly sought-after combination.
